AGV’s – Automated Guided Vehicles

An automated guided vehicle or automatic guided vehicle (AGV) is a portable robot that follows along marked long lines or wires on the floor, or uses radio waves, vision cameras, magnets, or lasers for navigation.
They are most often used in industrial applications to
transport heavy materials around a large industrial building, such as a factory or warehouse

4 Way (Omni) Shuttles

4 Way Shuttle

  • The four-way shuttle can automatically switch 90 degrees in the longitudinal storage and the transverse transfer channel
  • More suitable for warehouse storage with a complex terrain environment
  • Machines are connected through a wireless network
  • The WMS Management System allows for First in First out or First in Last out

Movirack Mobile Storage System

A high-density storage system that optimises the available surface area to boost storage capacity. Installed on mobile bases and equipped with motors and safety devices, the racks move smoothly to open the working aisle selected, providing direct access to all the goods.

Automated Storage and Retrieval System

An automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS or AS/RS) consists of a variety of computer-controlled systems for automatically placing and retrieving loads from defined storage locations. Automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) are typically used in applications where:

  • There is a very high volume of loads being moved into and out of storage
  • Storage density is important because of space constraints
  • No value is added in this process (no processing, only storage and transport)
  • Accuracy is critical because of potential expensive damages to the load

VLMs – Vertical / Lean Lifts

A vertical lift module (VLM) is an enclosed system that consists of two columns of trays with an inserter/extractor in the center.

The VLM them automatically optimizes the tray height and stores it using the least amount of space required for maximum storage density.

Pallet Shuttles

The Radio Shuttle is a semi-automated storage and retrieval system that
allows for a maximum use of warehouse space.

The storage and retrieval of pallets are easily managed by using a remote control,
a pallet is loaded onto the Shuttle and executes orders to load or unload pallets into a lane.
The forklift operator will instruct the Radio Shuttle on whether to store or retrieve the Pallet.

The first location on the racking system is for the forklift to release the pallets, which could be a
FIFO (First in First out) or FILO (First in Last out).
